AL Jazeera Sports workflow analysis, optimization consultancy and trouble shooting

Upon Al Jazeera Sports contracting SONY and Blue Order to implement a tapeless workflow, and the installed system failing to deliver, Al jazeera Sports charged BRAINWAVES with both formally mapping and optimizing workflow, and identifying the bottle necks in the system designed, supplied and implemented by the Sony-Blue Order consortium

Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) consultancy for CLFF

Performed detailed requirement acquisition for the Center Laboratory of Feeds and Feedstuffs (CLFF), designed solution, prepared bid documents, co-managed tender and award procedure, supervised implementation until fully and seamlessly integrated in workflow.

Al Jazeera graphics department modernization and upgrade

Al Jazeera graphics and promotion department is critically central to the news channel’s functioning, both qualitatively and from a lead-time perspective. Upgrading it to a conceptually different methodology without adversely affecting its function in a short time, BRAINWAVES moved Al Jazeera from traditional 90’s era technology to the state-of-the art advanced computer based solutions of Discreet/Autodesk, including all skill set modernization and production assistance associated with it.

Al Jazeera Virtual studios and integration with automation

The world’s first two studio single system virtual studio required considerable customization and development, as well as work with the Al Jazeera team on successfully adopting the technology, It involved integrating with proprietary automation systems among other bespoke technologies. It was performed on time and to spec whilst securing a very smooth integration within the workflow and by the teams to assure the full benefit of the technology to the channel.

Al Manara International Conference Center

Brainwaves designed, provided and installed Egypt’s first TRUE 4K ready fully robotized broadcast event production facility, based on Sony’s high-end 4000 series cameras, and comprising state-of-the-art Avid central storage direct editing workflow, thereby securing the highest quality and future proofing to the Egyptian Armed Forces Conference Center event capture and production facility.

In addition, Brainwaves cooperates with ON on some key productions showcasing a myriad of augmented reality and on-set automation applications.

Brainwaves has worked with DMC on supplying its sports channel with an industry leading Virtual Studio and Augmented Reality system, including Brainstorm genre defining Real-time ESTUDIO software, state-of-the-art MoSYS sensorized crane, as well as an in-house tuned and optimized Sports application to compliment DMCs rich offering to its viewers with the uncontested leading edge sports visualization technologies.
