Augmented Reality

Augmented reality is the integration of digital information with the user's environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented reality uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it

The term Augmented Reality has been used lately to describe ways to enhance visual perspectives or views in a variety of media to describe information graphics applied to television programs. In essence, graphics and data interact with real characters displaying data and information in a very attractive manner. As a form of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality is a method to overlay synthetic images along with real ones.
